Today was a great day! This morning we woke up early. Mamaw stayed the night and daddy just got off of the night shift! Ben loves mornings but nope not this morning. He was cranky!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought...great this will not be a good day!We got to school and he ran down the hall crying. He was not leaving my side. I showed him his cubby where we put his blanket and pillow he could care less, I was about to leave him and he knew it!!! Well after about 15 minutes of hanging out with him I decided to go! :( He cried and threw himself on the floor. By the time I got to my car where I could still see him he was fine! I am friends with the director at children's courtyard so she was sending me pics of him playing before I even got to work! He was GREAT all day! His new pm teacher Jackie said "he talks ALOT" which was good to hear! He waived to everybody and hugged her bye! We will see how tomorrow goes! The only time Mama Bear got teary eyed was driving home with him telling him how proud I was of him! It was a GREAT 1st day!

Here he is with his new Buzzcut! Benjamin loves playing with his blocks! But he usually only plays with them when his Nana (Josh's mom) comes over! She will walk through the door and he will run get his bag of blocks empty them out on the floor and grab her hand to sit on the floor with him. So it was shocking when he brought the bag to me and Nana was not even there. He stacks them so high then pushes them down. That was a question from the Dr. How many blocks can he stack?

Some of my girls know this but I am always wondering if he is "on Track" but I know he is on "his track" and I know he is smart! haha he is his daddy's boy! :) He points to objects and can name them and I wonder how he learned that word! ugh How we love our Children!!!!!!!!!

Many people ask when we will have #2. Josh said Aug!! He does run the household SOMETIMES!! :)

Some more news! My sweet Daddy and Bonus Momma decided to take all their Children on a 7 night cruise!!!We leave Aug 1st and We were so excited!!! My 1st question was "what about Benjamin" well of course the family would love for him to come and that was my 1st thought "I am not leaving him for 7 nights" Well then I talked with some sweet friends and Josh and I decided not to take him! I know I have some mom's that think I am crazy! But this might be our only vacation for Mommy and Daddy before we do have another baby!! We want to be able to enjoy it and eachother! Leaving Ben will be the hardest thing to do but he will be in school and my momma and mother-n-law are coming to the house to stay with him! I am going to get a little something from mommy and daddy to open each day that we are gone! ughh it will be hard and I will be spending a lot of money on calls home!!!!!!!

January 13th at 1:30 I got the call from Cory that my sister was in labor! Well slept through that call but woke up to my Bonus momma calling at 3:30am. I rushed to get ready and headed to the hospital! Thank goodness my momma had spent the night because Josh was working nights! It was the most simple birth I have ever seen! She pushed about 20 min and Payton James was born at 8:45am. It was a miracle and I got to see the whole thing! Alissa did AWESOME! Payton was 7lbs 14oz 19inches long and perfect! The are doing GREAT! Praise God! Saturday we took Ben to meet his sweet cousin. Ben loves babies he is very helpful taking diapers,wipes,passy's whatever HE thinks the babies need! He will be a great big brother one day!

Every year I am reminded of my "sight Loss" but most of all I am reminded how wonderful my Life is! We celebrated yet another awesome year with Awesome Friends and family! We went to The Cook Home and celebrated with the kids! We are so blessed! Here is to another great year!

Christmas Weekend

Christmas Eve started out at Connect for our Christmas eve service in the ice and snow! It was wonderful we went to my aunts that evening. Christmas morning we had to video Ben seeing his Santa gifts it was super special. He loved his car and the tool Bench!We then went to Grandpa and Honey's then ended the day at Uncle Bubba's. We got some wonderful gifts as always! Ben got a lot of musical intruments (thanks Grandpa and Honey :)) They also gave Ben a sweet Book that was my daddy's voice reading to him. I loved that one! It was all so wonderful!!!! We made Jesus' Birthday cake Sat but I don't think Jesus minded!!
Sunday we ended the weekend with my daddy's retirement party from the Fort Worth Fire Dept. after 33 years! It was pretty emotional at one point and I was so proud of my daddy! My cousins on my mom's side came they still consider my daddy their uncle so that was very sweet!

Oh and a big milestone... Christmas eve (at church) was the lastime Ben had his passy! Day 3 Down!!!! I think we are done with passy and Mommy is extra excited! Ben is 2 years old (26 months almost)
